The Actisense NGX-1-USB is an intelligent NMEA 2000 gateway and PC interface designed to provide safe, reliable communication between a vessels NMEA 2000 network and a USB-equipped computer.It transfers NMEA 2000 data to and from compatible PC applications without altering the original network messages. This makes it suitable for navigation software, vessel monitoring, data recording, network diagnostics and the configuration of compatible Actisense products.The NGX-1-USB can also operate as a conversion gateway, translating compatible NMEA 2000 data into NMEA 0183 format for use by PC applications. It does not provide a bare-wire NMEA 0183 connection. For direct connection to NMEA 0183, RS232 or RS422 equipment, select the NGX-1-ISO version.The NGX-1-USB does not provide Wi-Fi connectivity. Although the hardware may contain a wireless module, Wi-Fi is disabled on this model.A correctly powered and terminated NMEA 2000 network is required. Application compatibility and available data conversions depend on the software and data formats being used.
