The blend combines to provide a long life, durable product with reduced friction and improved sealing qualities.FeatureSupplied in 1 mtr packsTo Install:Measure the packing to fit around the shaft and cut to make a perfect circumferenceFit several rounds into the packing gland ( normally 3-5 ) with the cut ends butting up to each otherAlternate the join positions so each round of packing overlays the proceeding joinNow fit the packing gland and tighten so that the water ingress is reduced to a weepInspect the gland after a few hours use and tighten the gland further if requiredPTFE, because of its extremely low co-efficient of friction and to a lesser degree, because of its resistance to attack has, when applied to flax packings, given these traditional packings extended service life, and improved their sealing performance.
